This is a very simplistic game. If it were possible to upgrade to the full game it would be good as reinforcement for children learning their letters.
I'm using this on a Kindle Fire. I have read the reviews from people getting stuck after putting their name in. The way I was able to get past that point was to enter my name, close the keyboard, then press the back arrow on the Kindle menu as if you are trying to go back to your app screen.

World War is produced by Storm8, a common, well-known iOS application developer. This is the introduction of its line-up of Role-Playing applications. Over in the APP STORE, you'll see this brand is the most popular, however, it seems Uken Games has taken control of the market for this type of "click and play" gaming. In my personal experience, I can guarantee you'll love this game better than that of the Uken Games type. Here's the breakdown of the pros and cons of World War on the Kindle Fire anand in general:

THE PROS:

1. World War isn't confusing. Compared to its counterparts, it shows a simple user interface with fast controls, great colors, and responsive touch sensativity.

2. It's popular. Previously released on the app store and on the Google Android market, it's shown how much people like it, and has set an example therefore.

3. It was released on March 18! If you start now, you'll be way ahead of the others. Try it because it's free.

THE CONS:

1. After a couple tests, I've noticed its buttons are slightly small, but only for the Fire. Being a large tablet, the app wasn't optimized for the 7" screen size.

2. The home screen is actually formatted for a certain size. It was about (1/3) the width of the Fire and positioned in the.middle. The size is quite awkward considering all the other programming made up for its disabilities by spacing things out. It seems the home screen is formatted for a very small size, similar to that of a mobile Android phone. It's certainly not a deal-breaker, but quite an inconvenience.

Overall, it lives up to its expectations set from other market versions. I highly recommend it if you prefer Role-Playing games.

I downloaded and installed iBird Lite app easily. The bird images and sounds must be downloaded from the More page. Be sure to tap Synchronize and it will go fast. You can also sync one images for one bird at a time but why bother. The quality of the art and bird songs was outstanding however there are only 30 birds. But its free so whose counting? The search engine is neat. After playing with Lite for 15 minutes I felt comfortable spending $9.95 to buy iBird Pro 2.

UPDATE (20 OCT 2011): KUDOS to the devs who made this ghoulishly good wallpaper moveable to sd card! where it once took up over 3mb of internal phone memory, it now only takes up less than 300kb!! very cool! THANK YOU!!! ;-):

REVIEW AS IT ORIGINALLY WAS: I've only had this for less than an hour and I can already see that it's a wonderful wallpaper. so much to look at and with such detail and cool little touches. BUT ... if I'd known it doesn't allow for moving to sd then I def. would not have purchased this. My LG Op V is STARVING for internal memory and the 3.2mb of space this app takes is way more than i can afford. when i saw that "write to sd" was the permission it requires I just assumed that meant the app would be movable. and, of course, Amazon does not have the 15 min. refund policy that android market has so I couldn't undo it. oh well, just a buck. maybe the dev will be kind enough to provide this sd feature in a future update. a def. 'must download' for those of you with phones that have lots of room to spare and who love Halloween.
