Based on previous reviews, I thought this would be a fun activity for a 3 1/2 year old. I also thought a full version, for $2.99, would be well worth it. I was wrong on both counts and I regret purchasing.

This app is operated on a Polaroid PMID701c tablet. The opening and transition screens are too long and my child (and me, too!)get bored/frustrated waiting for the new activity to transition.

The app includes:
2 dogs
2 cats
2 birds

The brown dog allows you to: cut nails, drag three bones to their proper outlines place, tap highlighted dots to complete an outline of a (bone), and tap fleas to make them disappear.

The grey dog allows you to: "take a blood pressure (just shows the gauge going up), groom (swipe your finger across dos to watch some hair tufts fall off), drag three pieces of a collar into place, and drag a brain mite (or something) through a simple tunnel. When you get to the end, nothing significant happens.

The grey cat allows you to: do the same blood pressure, fleas and bone placement puzzle type games as the dog. You can along drag a character through a tummy tunnel and when it gets to the ends, you hear a...fart noise. This at least made us giggle.

The yellow cat allows you to: drag a stethoscope over the heart and you hear a thumping for a few beats, drag a fish down the tummy, place 3 pieces of the collar together, etc. Really just repeats of previous activities.

The McCaw bird allows you to: drag a smiley to the tummy and again get a fart noise, clip wings (just wings, you can't even see the rest of the bird), place the stethoscope over the heart, and connect dots to make a bell.

The Cockatoo bird allows you to: drag a smiley tot he tummy, place 4 bone to correct place in the wing puzzle, cut nails, and place a thermometer in its mouth and watch the line go up.

The activities are simply repeated amongst the different animals. I feel a bit duped. The flea games and dragging characters to tummy are unresponsive and quirky at times, which is very frustrating. When you have completed all the activities for a certain animal, nothing really great happens except a clipboard showing 4 check marks indicating everything was done. When all the animals are completed, it shows them all with celebratory stars falling around them.

I was hoping my son would have more interaction with the animals. Very disappointed at the repeat activities and just how simple they were. I do not recommend this app for $2.99 for anyone, and certainly do not recommend for anyone over 3, at best.

Does anyone know of an interactive pet app (android) that is simple to operate but good in results? Something like the Fisher Price iXL fish mini app?
