First, you must have the paid version. There is a free version that will allow you to print a test page. BUT, it does print the test page, thank you very much. And a nice test page it is!
The paid version does as advertised. I never would have paid $12.99 but with it under $8.00 here at the 'zon, I knew I could use it. It locates your network and/or ~~nearby~~ printers and prints a variety of formats (4x6, 5x7, etc), doc types (.pdf, pix, OA formats, etc), and intensity (from economy gray to max photo). Good options are available. Some things, though:
1. You need to upload a free printer driver from their website. It is automatic and painless as long as it can identify your printer. While it found my Epson Artison 810, it did not find my wife's newer Epson Artison 830. Strange. If it cannot find a driver, it will take you to a list, by manufacturer, where you can pick yours - or the closest to it in the same family. If my wife's driver were available, it would have been worth another star.
2. Cannot multi-task while running the app.
3. Not blazing fast, but competent. Wouldn't want to print a 20 page doc or a bunch of 8x10 high res photos though.
4. Will print SMS text conversations. Kinda neat, possibly helpful.
Since I use Dropbox on the web, this will be helpful to print those docs when I need to. I suspect it can/will identify printers in wireless networks in hotels, hotspots, etc to print from although I have not tried it.
Last, in these reviews, I found it is always helpful to give the device you are running. So, Samsung Infuse 4G on AT&T...which is an AT&T phone that works at the Amazon Android App Store..
